Title: Contract BI Architect
Duration: 4–8 weeks (short-term engagement). Potential for 90 days after initial engagement
Level of Effort: Full Time
The Illuminate Analytics platform (Power BI / Microsoft Fabric) is experiencing significant performance degradation impacting both internal and external users. External clients have reported dashboards failing to load during live sessions and slow report performance, directly affecting customer experience and operations.
Performance issues are driven by multiple factors, including capacity constraints, high concurrency, complex dashboards, and potential bottlenecks across data and API layers. Additionally, there is a gap in specialized Power BI and Microsoft Fabric performance expertise required to diagnose and resolve these issues efficiently.
A contract BI Architect is required to provide specialized expertise, accelerate root cause analysis, conduct an independent architectural review, and deliver targeted optimization recommendations. The contractor will also provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.
Failure to address these issues may result in continued customer dissatisfaction, reputational risk, increased operational burden, and instability in a strategic enterprise analytics platform.
Engaging a short-term BI Architect contractor is a necessary and time-sensitive investment to stabilize the platform, restore performance, and ensure long-term scalability and reliability of the analytics environment.
